Wattpad: Idea Factory

Happy Holidays everyone! It’s been a very busy year at Mette Designs and we’re so thrilled with the growth and success we’ve been able to achieve this year along with so many truly exciting clients.

One of the many highlights of this year has been a culmination of the ongoing partnership we share with one of Toronto’s most exciting technology companies; Wattpad. It’s so exciting to see one of our clients getting so much attention in the Canadian media these days. We’ve grown a lot together over the past few years and they so deserve recognition for the hard work and dedication to their disruptive vision. For us at Mette Designs they represent an organization  that has truly succeeded with a human-centric approach to technology and company culture.

Allen Lau, Wattpad’s CEO, was kind enough to provide us with this wonderful testimonial to our contribution:

After moving offices every year to accommodate our rapid growth, Wattpad finally has a space to call home. Thanks to Mette, our new home reflects the spirit of Wattpad. It’s a place where people can connect and be creative. Every part of Wattpad HQ is thoughtfully designed so everyone who enters the space feels welcome, energized, and inspired to change the way the world discovers and shares stories.

They’ve been featured in major newspapers and magazines nationally of late but here are a couple of my favourites that show how the physical space we created really supports what they are trying to achieve.

1. Allied REIT’s fall publication perfectly titled found online here: Idea Factory (see page 23 of the magazine in the online reader).

2. The November issue of Toronto Life where the content is now available online here Toronto Life – Wattpad Cult.

3. Canadian Business Magazine November issue How Wattpad made its office as open as its book sharing community
