Danish, Human-Centered Approach to Interior Design
Denmark enjoys a famously high standard of living, occupying the 4th spot in the worldwide human development index. With an economy largely based on high-tech industries, including pharmaceuticals, shipping, and renewable energy, Denmark’s productivity index reached an all-time high in 2014, exceeding the North American levels.*
High-tech dominance means that most of Denmark’s business is handled within enclosed office spaces, bringing to mind a typically dull and lifeless cubicle. But not in Denmark. One of the reasons for high productivity is the physical environment at many Danish offices, with a design culture emphasizing employee well-being and accommodation for the individual productivity cycles.
We’re fortunate to be able to share this approach with the Canadian companies that believe their staff are a vital part of their business. We’ve taken the best of what the Danish physical science and design have to offer, blended it with the North American business philosophy, and came up with the Office Alive Advantage.
